A Ped Pod Re-Pod: RIP Pam Sheppard

With the sad news this week about the passing of Pam Sheppard, we thought we'd do something we haven't done before a re-publish our chat with her from a couple of years ago.

Pam, along with her husband Mike set up the first incarnation of the UK Seahawkers in the early 1980's. From small beginnings involving newsletters and pre-dating the current social-media, tech savvy fan base. They ran the club at a time when the sport first hit these UK shores.

Fast forward 30 years and in September 2016 Stu and UK Seahawkers president Sean Wilson sat down with Pam to talk over those times as the first lady of the UK Seahawkers, to seeing what she saw in Birmingham on that day in September 2016, with around 30 members of the modern chapter present and all hanging off of her every word on stories involving LA Hotels, her love for Kenny Easley and her wonderment at what she was told of the group now.

It was a fun chat with a very warm lady who was clearly blown away by the scene.
